and equity instruments. Since the firm was
established, it has been involved in the most
important operations in this sector in Venezuela.
The firm participated in the takeover of Electricidad
de Caracas, giving its advice to Citibank,
N.A. in the preparation and execution of the
trusts constituted to receive the shares delivered
by the shareholders. Likewise, the firm participated
in the defense of Verizon Communications’
interests in the takeover attempt of CANTV,
which was withdrawn. Moreover, the firm has
participated in the design of shareholders’
